Honorable mention at New York Photo Awards

Robert Rutöd received honorable mention at New York Photo Award 2011 in the category Fine Art for a photograph from his series Less Is More.

The New York Photo Festival initiated its annual photography competition in 2008 as The New York Photo Awards. The awards were an immediate success, and submissions have climbed each year, both in breadth of material as well as in source of work submitted. This year 17,000 images were submitted by professional and budding photographers from more than 90 countries.

Winners and honorable mentions are featured in an exclusive main floor exhibition at the powerHouse Arena opening at this year’s New York Photo Festival from May 11 to 15, 2011. The work of the 2011 New York Photo Awards winners and honorable mention recipients will also be showcased in a summer-long exhibition at the Photographic Centre Peri in Turku, Finland, opening on June 7, 2011.
